Christian Art

Christian art or art pieces painted with Christian themes especially by contemporary artists can be very interesting. A local group has started bringing such art pieces for sale to the public enabling some local mainland Chinese who have become Christians to express themselves internationally. Take a look at PaintThru. Here is another interesting interpretation of biblical themes by an artist He Qi.

Visited the PaintThru website. Though it's suppose to be exclusively original chinese artwork, I find some of the paintings rather "western" in their features. I've seen Christian balinese painting...one can tell immediately it's balinese art :)

yes, Chinese painters like all things Chinese, may not necessarily mean they look Chinese. You know what I mean? I had the same feelings when I first looked at them.
