Since the infamous "toilet escape," finger pointing became the name of the game. It is so easy to pinpoint others' mistakes and make ourselves look good. Many had tried in various ways to discredit, thumb-down, or simply to poke fun at mistakes made by someone else.
These famous words, "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?" would probably remind us to be careful not to be pinpointing others' mistakes and forget that we ourselves make lots of them too.
I remember this very well: "The person who doesn't make mistakes is unlikely to make anything." In that, mistakes can be positive experiences when we learn from them and prepare ourselves not to repeat them.
Similarly I have discovered why it's easier to laugh at others when they trip and fall; because it's not easy to laugh at ourselves when we do. Blame it on somebody? Think again.
