Love

I didn't realize what I was getting into when I keyed in the word "love" in Google search. It yielded more than 1.7 billion links. That's mind-boggling, to say the least. Does love really inspire so many people? Here alone the amount of words written is simply beyond imagination. But then love is not just a word. It's reality can only be understood in action. Love is a verb. It is to be seen in action as there's no point in just professing it.
The cyclone that swept through Myanmar last week left behind a devastated landscape. The pictures that arrived into our living room via the news network gave us images of hopelessness. In such a situation, I wonder what love really means? How do we respond? What should be the right response? The government there does not make it any easier for any appropriate response at all. NGOs specifically said they do not want any donation in kind. Is cash the only response of love? How do we make sense of such devastating calamities? How do we love?
